Signal Peak Silica is the owner and operator of four frac sand facilities. SPS has two Texas mines located in Poteet and Carrizo Springs, supporting the Eagle Ford; and two Oklahoma plants, supporting the Mid-Con–one in Oakwood and another in Dover. Together, these plants of a combined production capacity of over 7 million tons.
The proximity of our facilities to the Eagle Ford and the SCOOP/STACK formations enable us to eliminate much of the cost associated with delivering frac sand from outside the basin, such as rail freight charges, maintaining and storing railcar fleets, and bearing the costs of the necessary transload infrastructure to support rail shipments.
